HIV Medication Errors

Course Description

This course, designed for health care professionals, reviews medication errors common in the HIV population, along with giving students strategies for preventing them. This course contains audio narration.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss background data on medication errors in the HIV infected population
2. Review common types and causes of medication errors that occur in the HIV population
3. Using patient cases, provide real life examples from the hospital and retail settings that describe HIV medication errors
4. Provide strategies for preventing medication errors in the HIV infected population
