In an effort to increase access to quality HIV/AIDS care by providing progressive HIV education to clinicians, the AIDS Institute at the New York State Department of Health awarded a contract to the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry to create a "Center for Excellence" for On-line HIV Clinical Education, also known as the Technology Center.
To this end, the Center developed the organizational framework to provide on-line HIV clinical education, including formats such as webcasts, lecture slide sets, podcasts, and PDA tools.
